What does the science show is the best way to lose weight? If you want testimonials and before-and-after pictures, you have come to the wrong place. I’m not interested in anecdotes; I’m interested in the evidence. When it comes to making decisions as life-and-death-important as the health and well-being of yourself and your family, there’s really only one question: What does the best available balance of evidence show right now?

Many people are trying to think what's the best diet and we've had more than a few people. We've been seeing this for decades now where the prevalence of obesity is rising not only in adults but also in children over 42% of adults are obese according to the CDC but nearly 20% of teens are obese, and nearly 18 percent of school-age children are obese and nearly 15% of preschoolers are obese so this is a trend that starts very early in childhood and things just continue to get worse as people get older. I know everything began when I was a young kid and I remember going to my grandma's house. I tell the story frequently that we went to my grandma's house, my brother and I after school and it was always you know homemade hamburgers fried in bacon grease with french fries and a can of baked beans which counted as the vegetable and then aside of macaroni and cheese to polish everything off. So that was the kind of diet we were growing up and it's no surprise that a great growing number of adults are also finding themselves in this obesity trap. We were just talking about the current stats but if you look ahead, I know that a group of researchers at Harvard said that half of the entire U.S. adult population by the year 2030 will be obese and 1/4 of the entire population will have what's referred to as severe obesity.

So why do people gain weight?

Two basic reasons:

  1. Eating many wrong types of food

  2. Eating less right types of food

Everyone knows this right? But weight loss is just a choice you make. Eating healthy, a little bit of stretch and that is it. You just have to try this diet for about 1-2 months and you will know the difference within then. You don't just need anything. All you have to do is the following:

  • Eliminate animal products

  • Go low on fats

But wait, doesn't losing weight merely involve eating less and exercising more? A calorie is a calorie, right? The food business wants you to believe that. The food industry uses the myth that a calorie from one source is just as fattening as any other to excuse itself from responsibility. Even Coca-Cola released an advertisement highlighting this "one basic common-sense fact." This "central argument" from the industry is that "overconsumption of calories from carrots would be no different from overconsumption of calories from soda." Why does what we eat in our mouths matter if a calorie is just a calorie?

Let's investigate the Coca-Cola vs. carrots comparison. In a strictly regulated laboratory context, it is true that 240 calories from 10 carrots would have the same impact on calorie balance as 240 calories from a bottle of Coke, but in the real world, this comparison is meaningless. The calories in those liquid candies might be consumed in less than a minute, but it would take more than two and a half hours of steady chewing to consume 240 calories of carrots. You might not able to finish it at all. It all boils down to calorie density( the number of calories in a given amount of food)

Traditional weight-loss diets focus on decreasing portion size, but we know these “eat less” approaches can leave people feeling hungry and unsatisfied. A more effective approach may be to shift the emphasis from restriction to positive “eat more” messaging of increasing the intake of healthy, low-calorie-density foods.

Covertly put people on a relatively low-fat diet, and they tend to lose body fat every day even though they can eat as much as they want. If you instead give those same people the same meals, but this time sneaks in enough extra fats and oils to change it to a high-fat diet, they gain body fat every day.

That is it. Now you have a perfect diet to lose weight. You don't have to try different 8 diets to get results ( which you won't get). You will get all sorts of diet plans here on the internet some work--some don't. This diet works for everybody. Two months of your life is not much when your life depends on it.

What you should really know:

  • Oil makes you fat

  • Carbohydrates(not refined ones) don't make you fat

  • GO green

  • Sugar in fruits is not bad for you

  • Little stretch can help

  • 240 gm of calories from coke and carrots are not the same
